Entry Guidelines

The Built Influence Awards celebrate the people, teams, campaigns, agencies and publications that are making a real difference across the built environment.

We’re looking for entries that demonstrate influence, creativity, strategic thinking and measurable impact. Whether you’re entering a campaign, a team, an individual, an agency or a publication, we want to understand not just what you did, but why it mattered and what changed as a result.

Where can I find the entry kit?

What makes a strong entry?

A strong entry will clearly demonstrate:

A clear idea and strategy

Tell us what you set out to achieve and why. What was the challenge or opportunity? Who were you trying to reach and what was your approach?

Creativity and originality

We want to see ideas that stand out. What made your approach different, innovative or particularly effective? Don't be afraid to tell us what you did differently.

Influence

Influence is at the heart of these awards. Tell us who you influenced and how.

This could mean changing perceptions, starting conversations, influencing decision-makers, changing behaviour, raising awareness, inspiring others, shaping industry thinking or bringing people together.

What happened as a result of your work?

Where possible, support your entry with evidence. This could include media coverage, audience growth, engagement, website traffic, leads, sales, business results, changes in perception or other meaningful outcomes.

We recognise that not every achievement can be measured in numbers. If your impact is qualitative, explain clearly what changed and why it matters.

Contribution to the wider industry

We’re interested in work that goes beyond simply delivering a successful campaign or project.

Has your work challenged convention, raised standards, introduced a new way of working, supported the wider industry or contributed to an important conversation?

Collaboration and leadership

Where relevant, tell us about the people behind the work. Did you influence colleagues, clients, partners or stakeholders? Did you demonstrate leadership or create opportunities for others?
